BCNU VP Appointed to Canadian Health Coalition Board

Vice President Tristan Newby to bring national voice of nurses to board of public health care advocacy organization

The Canadian Federation of Nurses’ Unions has appointed BCNU Vice President Tristan Newby to be its representative on the board of the Canadian Health Coalition, and he will hold the position of secretary until June 2025.

Newby, along with union president Adriane Gear, represents BCNU on CFNU’s National Executive Board and will bring a national nursing lens to help guide the coalition’s work.

The Canadian Health Coalition is a public advocacy organization dedicated to the preservation and improvement of public health care in Canada. Its membership is comprised of national organizations representing health-care workers, nurses, seniors, churches, anti-poverty groups, women and trade unions, as well as affiliated coalitions in ten provinces and one territory.
