OHS Hazard Identification and Inspections

This intermediate-level course is intended to complement the foundational Joint Health and Safety Committee Basics training you have already received by diving deeper into the world of workplace inspections and hazard identifications. Learn about hazard identification, risk assessments, control measures, evaluation & follow-up, as well as legislation & contractual requirements.

Course Format:

This blended learning course includes one live session and online asynchronous learning activities (independent study). It begins with online learner prep two weeks prior to the live session. During the live session, Members will complete activities and review 'just in time' online resources available to support their role.

Live sessions are offered virtually or in-person.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this course you must:

  • be an active BCNU Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee representative or BCNU steward
  • have completed BCNU’s Joint Health & Safety Committee Basics Course
