Speaker Bio: 

Ted Palys is a Professor in the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University and Associate Member of SFU's Department of Indigenous Studies. His areas of research and teaching include qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research; the ethics and law of research confidentiality; and the relations between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada and internationally. He is co-author (with Chris Atchison) of Research Methods in the Social and Health Sciences: Making Research Decisions (2021, published by Sage) and Protecting Research Confidentiality: What Happens When Law and Ethics Collide (with John Lowman, 2014, published by Lorimer).
