Pink Shirt Day

Pink Shirt Day is an annual event that occurs on the last Wednesday in February and this year will be recognized on Wednesday, Feb. 28 The annual event was initiated in 2007, following an incident of homophobic bullying at a high school in Nova Scotia. Pink Shirt Day aims to create a kinder and more inclusive world, by raising awareness and funds for anti-bullying initiatives.
Members of the South Islands executive team, alongside full-time stewards and site stewards will be at RJH, VGH and Saanich Peninsula Hospital. We invite members to drop in at the designated meeting location and time, for an opportunity to ask questions, receive information and grab a snack. We encourage all members to show their support by wearing pink.
