Kelowna RPNs Vote to Leave HSA and Join BCNU
The BC Nurses' Union is proud to welcome 54 registered psychiatric nurses from Kelowna General Hospital who voted today to join the majority of BC nurses and become members of the 43,000-strong nurses' union.
BCNU believes that every RPN in the province deserves strong representation, more education opportunities and greater support for their psychiatric nursing profession.
The RPNs were previously represented by the Health Sciences Association. Today's vote was another strong signal that BC's nurses desire to be united as members of one professional union working together for safe patient care.
