Nurses welcome Clara's Big Ride to the Legislature
Nurses will be among those welcoming former Olympian Clara Hughes as she rides onto the grounds of the legislature Thursday afternoon.
The BCNU is a proud supporter of the ride to raise awareness about mental illness and reduce the stigma surrounding it.
BCNU Vice President Christine Sorensen says, "many nurses work on the front lines providing health care to the mentally ill. As advocates for quality patient care, we believe the best way to de-stigmatize mental illness is for people to start talking about it. That's why we are supporting Clara's Big Ride."
