Members Working in the Community Health Sector Ratify New Contract

August 14, 2018
BCNU members working at sites including S.U.C.C.E.S.S. have a new three-year contract with health employers

Union members represented by the Community Health Bargaining Association (CBA) have voted 'yes' to a new, three-year contract with the Health Employers Association of BC (HEABC). This agreement will take effect April 1, 2019 and expire March 31, 2022, and applies to BCNU members throughout the province, including at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. worksites in Vancouver and Richmond.

The agreement has been reached without concessions to current language, and includes a wage increase as well as no changes to member benefits - all of which were key mandates received by CBA negotiators ahead of bargaining. Other highlights of the agreement include improved employment security and additional funding for the Enhanced Disability Management Program.
