BCNU Urges Federal Government to Protect BC's Nurses During Pandemic

President Christine Sorensen writes to Federal Health Minister for support of all nurses

The safety of our members remains BC Nurses' Union's number one priority throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

On March 22, 2020, BCNU President Christine Sorensen sent a letter to the Honourable Patricia Hajdu, Federal Minister of Health, calling for the health minister to support the safety of Canada's nurses and all front-line health care workers through any measure possible.

Sorensen reminds the minister that nurses are united in calling for the government to take immediate action to protect the health and well-being of our nation's nurses as they work around-the-clock to care for patients affecting by COVID-19.
