College Registration Fee Reimbursement Process Underway

January 14, 2020
NBA provincial collective agreement delivers on promise of $215 towards annual registration and licensing fees

All BCNU members covered by the Nurses' Bargaining Association (NBA) provincial collective agreement will no longer bear the full cost of annual registration and licensing fees they pay to the BC College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).*

These members will now be able to access the BCCNP Registration Fee Fund to apply for reimbursement of a portion of their fees. The reimbursement is one of many bargaining successes BCNU achieved during 2019-2022 NBA contract negotiations. The contract improvement will go a long way to help nurses offset their professional costs.

Process

Starting February 3, 2020, members covered by the NBA provincial contract who have renewed their practice licence for the 2020/2021 year will be able to apply for a reimbursement of $215.

BCNU will administer the reimbursement process. To apply, you must log in to the BCNU Member Portal and access the college fee reimbursement online form. You will need to provide your official payment receipt from the BCCNP for the renewal of your practice licence for the 2020/2021 year, as well as your banking information for direct deposit.

Once approved, $215 will be deposited directly into your bank account; cheques will not be issued.

To ensure a smooth application process, please log in to the BCNU Member Portal today to update your contact information, including your email address where notification of your electronic funds transfer will be sent.
