BCNU Council Elects Interim Provincial Treasurer

Scott Duvall, regional council member for Thompson North Okanagan, will assume the role immediately

BCNU Council has elected Scott Duvall, regional council member for the Thompson North Okanagan region, as interim provincial treasurer following the resignation of the elected provincial treasurer on Sept. 18. Duvall will assume the role immediately until the conclusion of a special election.

The special election to fill the position will be organized by the BCNU Nominations Committee, and follow the process outlined in Article 5 of the BCNU Constitution and Bylaws and Policy 5.2.8 – Elected Officer Elections (BCNU Policy and Procedures Manual, available behind the BCNU Member Portal).

Duvall was acclaimed regional council member for the Thompson North Okanagan during BCNU's general elections earlier this year. The Thompson North Okanagan Regional Executive Committee will elect a temporary regional council member from the existing Regional Executive Committee while Duvall serves as interim provincial treasurer. This process is outlined in Article 5 of the BCNU Constitution and Bylaws and Policy 5.5.2 – Regional Elections.
