Nurses' Bargaining Association Reaches Tentative Agreement With Health Employers Association of BC

March 31, 2023
Members will vote to ratify the agreement starting on April 20

After months of intense, collective bargaining, the BC Nurses’ Union is pleased to share with its members that a tentative collective agreement has been reached between the Nurses’ Bargaining Association and the Health Employers Association of BC (HEABC).

The deal comes after all-night negotiations between the parties. The proposed terms of settlement includes record-setting compensation for BC’s nurses as well as many meaningful incentives to help retain the nurses we have today and attract the nurses needed for the future.

During negotiations, BCNU also reached a ground-breaking commitment from the provincial government to support mandatory nurse-patient ratios.

Members will have a chance to review the details and will vote to ratify the agreement starting on April 20.
