Union Celebrates 42 Years

Forty-two years ago, on June 11, 1981, the Empress Hotel in Victoria welcomed two hundred nurses to BCNU's founding convention. Ever since that memorable day, the union marks its anniversary on June 11 as BCNU Day.

To celebrate the union’s anniversary, all members are invited to test their knowledge about the newly ratified Nurses’ Bargaining Association provincial collective agreement with the BCNU Day Quiz.

Beginning Thursday, June 1 through to Sunday, June 11, members can log in to the BCNU Member Portal and complete the quiz for a chance to win a $500 Amazon gift card – one prize will be awarded per BCNU region! Every member who submits a completed quiz will be entered to win the random prize draw.

How to take the BCNU Day Quiz:

1. Beginning June 1, login to the BCNU Member Portal.
2. Find the quiz link on the landing page, under the “Quick Links” section.
3. Submit your responses and be entered to win the random draw.
