BC Nurses’ Union invites members of the public to share their gratitude and say, ‘Thank you, nurses’

The BC Nurses’ Union (BCNU) has unveiled a heartfelt, province-wide holiday advertising campaign to honour the extraordinary dedication of nurses. The campaign features a new TV ad titled Home for the Holidays, which highlights the exceptional care and dedication nurses provide, forgoing precious time with their own loved ones to ensure others can be with theirs.

“Nurses are the heart of health care and work tirelessly to provide comfort and care, every day, but especially this time of year,” says BCNU President Adriane Gear. “Their dedication ensures others can get home for the holidays to experience the joy and connection of loved ones, even when it means missing out on their own celebrations.”

Share Your Gratitude

BCNU is inviting the public to share messages of appreciation for nurses. These messages can brighten a nurse’s holiday season and remind them how much their work means to communities across British Columbia.

Gear says nurses provide exceptional care under incredibly challenging circumstances, including staffing shortages and workplace safety concerns. “This campaign is our way of expressing gratitude to nurses for their unwavering dedication, especially during the holidays, when their sacrifices mean so much to so many.”
