Nurses Bargaining Talks Resume

September 22, 2015
Representatives from the Nurses' Bargaining Association (NBA) and the Health Employers Association of BC (HEABC) met Sept. 21. More information on further talks will be provided as bargaining continues.

The nurses are seeking to address a wide range of issues, including the ongoing need for more nurses throughout BC and the employer's as yet unfulfilled requirement to create 2,125 additional full-time nursing positions before March 31, 2016.

A broad and comprehensive nurses' bargaining platform seeks improvements to: rural health care, staffing and patient supports in community care, long-term care, mental health and acute care services in order to provide safe patient care.
