RNs and RPNs to Receive $350 in Damages Related to Unsafe Staffing

RN and RPN members have until June 30 to submit proof of payment of their college licensing fees

BCNU has committed to paying $350 to our RN and RPN members covered by the Nurses' Bargaining Association (NBA) collective agreement, out of the damages won from the employer for their failure to implement the safe staffing provisions from 2012.

Members have up to June 30, 2017, to submit their receipt of payment of their college registration fees to BCNU. Once submitted, members will receive a cheque for $350 in the mail to their home address. It may take up to 90 days for cheques to be received due to the impressive size of the membership.

To receive their portion of this damages award, members must complete the RN/RPN Damages - Proof of Registration Form online, found behind the BCNU Member Portal.

It is critical that members confirm that their mailing address and phone number are correct behind the portal, BEFORE submitting this form.

Deadline to submit is June 30, 2017.

CRNBC and CRPNBC registration fees are due February 28, 2017.
