2022 BCNU Leadership Award Recipients
BCNU is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2022 BCNU Leadership Awards.
The NU Leader Award and the Excellence in Leadership & Advocacy Award each honour a member for their exceptional contribution to leadership and advocacy while demonstrating BCNU's core values: collectivity, democracy, equality, excellence, integrity, social justice and solidarity. Nominees were nominated by fellow BCNU members and recipients were selected by the BCNU Leadership Award selection committee.
NU Leader Award: Maggie Biagioni, North West region
The NU Leader Award honours a student member or nurse with less than five years of nursing experience for demonstrating outstanding achievements in BCNU-focused advocacy and activism and who embodies union values.
Maggie Biagioni is a registered nurse who identifies as Metis and works as a primary care nurse for Northern Health at the Terrace Health Unit.
Excellence in Leadership & Advocacy Award: Angela Achoba-Omajali, Thompson North Okanagan Region
