Understaffed and overworked, nurses need your support now
Nurses across the province are routinely working short-staffed, being faced with impossible situations while trying to provide safe patient care.
- 83% of BC nurses say workload is either a major problem or somewhat of a problem.
- On average, 26 nurses a month in BC suffer a violent injury at work.
- LPNs, RNs and RPNs alone account for 31% of injuries from acts of violence in BC.
- 79% disagree that there is enough staff to handle the workload.*
BC's nurses need your support now. Contact your MLA and ask them what is being done to support nurses' call for violence-free workplaces and increased security.
